Daniel Octavius, M.D.

Dr. Octavius was born Port Au Prince and attended Notre Dame University in Port au Prince. He also trained for cardiology and endocrinology at the Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Octavius joined NOVA in 2016 and oversees the medical operations at NOVA’s clinic working closely with Dr. Jenny Henkind, NOVA’s Medical Director.  Together they develop training programs for the staff, healthcare programs for the community and generally identify ways to improve the medical care NOVA provides.

Dr. Octavius and his wife live in Les Cayes with their son.

Elmide Nazaire, M.D.

Dr. Nazaire joined NOVA in 2020 with over 11 years of primary care experience and has assumed the role of Medical Clinic Adminstrator.  Dr. Nazaire studied in Cuba and has been practicing general medicine.   She also has experience in pediatrics and obstetrics.  She has worked closely with MSPP (the Haitian health ministry) and works closed with Community Health Workers to initiate community health programs.

Dr. Nazaire lives in Les Cayes with her husband and two children.  She enjoys reading, going to the beach and the theatre in her spare time.

Kétlène Pradis, nurse

Born in Saint-Louis du Sud, haiti, January 24, 1980. She studied at the Ecole d’Infirmière Chess in Port au Prince, Haiti, where she her degree in nursing in 2005. She is married with two children. She has been working at the Boileau Clinic since 2006 and was hired by NOVA when NOVA took over the clinic in February 2013. Ketlene is the Head Nurse and works closely with Drs. Nixon and Daniel.

Judette Colimon, nurse

Born in Flamands, Haiti, February 23, 1983. She studied at the Ecole de Nursing Virginie Allaire in Port-au-Prince where she received her degree in nursing in 2008. She did her nursing residency in the General Hospital in Les Cayes. She has been working at the Boileau Clinic since 2011 and was hired by NOVA when NOVA took over the clinic in February 2013.

Myrienne Thermidor, laboratory technician

Born in Cavaillon, Haiti, October 4, 1977. She studied at the Ecole de Technologie Médicale Louis Pasteur in Port au Prince, Haiti where she received her degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician in 2000. She has worked in the General Hospital in Les Cayes, Haiti and has been working at the Boileau Clinic since 2003 and was hired by NOVA when NOVA took over the clinic in February 2013. She is married and has two children.

Rosette Geneus, nurse’s aide

Born in Morne Mombin, Haiti, October 27, 1974. She studied at the Centre d’Apprentissage des Soins Infirmiers in Les Cayes, Haiti where she received her degree as a nurse’s aide in June 1998. She been working at the Boileau Clinic since 1999 and was hired by NOVA when NOVA took over the clinic in February 2013. She is married and has two children.

Yanick Brutus, housekeeping

Born in Boileau, Haiti in 1986. She has been working at the Boileau Clinic since 2009 and was hired by NOVA when NOVA took over the clinic in February 2013. She is married with one child.
